What an honest manuscript review actually covers
"Honest review" is easy to promise and hard to define. Here is exactly what ours covers, and how each part is produced.
The six areas
Character analysis. Who your characters are on the page, whether they behave consistently, and where they earn or lose the reader's investment.
Plot and structure. How the story is built: setup, escalation, climax, resolution. Where it sags and which scenes carry the weight.
Pacing. Where the book moves and where it drags, with specific passages flagged for tightening or expansion.
Continuity check. Contradictions, timeline slips, and details that do not line up. We check every factual point against your manuscript, so continuity notes come with quotes, not hunches.
Theme and style. What the book is really about, and whether the prose serves it or fights it.
Prioritized fixes. The three to five changes that would improve the book most, in order. A review should leave you knowing what to do Monday morning.
Grounded in your book
What matters most: everything in the review is tied to your manuscript. If we can't point to the passage, we don't make the claim. What you read is grounded in the book you wrote.
Then the finished review goes through a final check for sense, tone, and fairness. Nothing reaches you unchecked.
